Ball Specifications

The ball shall be spherical and a orange color. It shall have eight (8) traditionally shaped panels.It shall be made with an outer surface of leather, rubber or synthetic material. For FIBA games, the ball shall be made of leather and of a make approved by FIBA.


Weight: 567-650 g
Circumference: 0.749-0.78 m

It shall be inflated to an air pressure such that when it is dropped onto the playing surface from a height of 1.80 m measured from the bottom of the ball, it will rebound to a height of 1.20-1.40 m measured at the top of the ball.

Game Clock Scoreboard and 24 Second Device


The game clock is used for timing periods of play and intervals between them. It can be stopped and subsequently continued from the time. It is recommended to use a count down type of clock. When half time, full time period or extra period elapsed, the device shall automatically sound with a very loud signal. It shall be laced so that it is clearly visible to everyone involved with the game.Tim-out watch is a stop watch used for timing time-outs.
24 Second Device

The device shall be automatic, digital countdown type indicating the time in seconds. The signal of the device should automatically sound with very loud signal when it reaches ''zero'' and should effect stop of the game clock automatically as well. When the main clock stops, the device shall also stop. When the main clock starts, the device must have the capability to start manually (independently). There shall no display on the device when neither team is in control of the ball. When there are less than 30 seconds remaining on the game clock and a player gains control of the ball (new-second period), the 30-second device shall not be operational, i.e., no display visible.

Scoreboard
The scoreboard shall indicate the time remaining in a period as prescribed by the game clock. It shall also indicate the points scored and the number of timeout taken by each team, the fouls committed by each player on the teams and played in 2 x 20 minutes. The scoreboard shall be clearly visible to everyone with the game, including spectators.

Recommendations

It is strongly recommended (in FIBA official competitions prescribed) that a 24 second device, an additional game clock and a bright red electric light light be located above the backboards. The colors of the numbers of the 24 second device and the game clock shall be different . The electric red light shall be synchronized with the game clock and 24 second device  to light when the signal sounds for the end for a half or a period or 24- second period.

Playing Uniform

Shirts- Shirts shall be the same dominant color on both front and back. Each player shall be numbered in the front and back of his shirt with plain numbers of a solid color contrasting with the color of the shirt. The numbers shall be clearly visible; those on the back at least 20 cm high and those on the front at least 10 cm high and not less than 2 cm wide. Teams shall use numbers from 4 to 15. Players on the same team shall not wear duplicate numbers. All players must place (tuck) their inside shorts during the game.


Shorts- shall be of the same dominant color front and back but not necessarily the same color as the shirt.

T-shirts- may be worn provided the T-shirt must be same dominant color as the shirts.

Undergarments- that extend below the shorts may be worn provided they are of the same single color as the shorts.

Shoes- Only rubber shoes are permitted to be worn during the game (with playing socks).

NOTE!!!

Player may not wear equipment, which in judgement of the official is dangerous to other players. (Fingernails must be closely cut)/ All equipment used by the players must be appropriate for basketball. Any equipment that is designed to increased a player's height or reach or in any other way, give an unfair advantage, shall not be permitted.

Score Sheet


It is the FIBA Official score sheet for recording games.

Player Foul Marker


It is used for indicating the number of fouls committed by a player. For games played in two halves of 20 minutes, they shall be 1 to 5 (1-4 in black, 5 in red).

Team Foul Marker


Both shall in red, and it shall be positioned on the scorer's table when a team has reached the penalty status.

Team Foul Indicator

It is a suitable device used to indicate the number of team fouls. The device shall stop at the number of team fouls (8 for the games of 2 x 20 minutes) to indicate that a team has reached the penalty status.

Signals

There shall be equipment for at least 2 different sounding signals. One (1) for the timekeeper and the scorer and one (1) for the 24 second operator. For the scorer and the timekeeper it shall be recorded manually when appropriate, to draw the attention of the officials that a time-out, a substitution, etc. has been requested, 50 seconds has elapsed after the start of the time-out of that there is a correctable error situation. The 24 second operators' signal shall be scored automatically to indicate the end of the 24 second period.
